Samuel ‘Sam’ Baum (*1996 in Bern, CH) is a Berlin based motion designer and video artist, with a passion for animation. His past projects include animated short films, video mapping installations, animated stage design (concerts), documentaries, music videos and various commercials.
Before concluding his studies and achieving his bachelor’s degree in Film & Motion Design at the University of Applied Sciences Europe (formerly known as Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule BTK) in February 2020, he worked as an intern for various studios on three different continents, not only learning to work in a professional setting, but also improving his language skills as well as his general knowledge and world views.
During his compulsory internship while studying, he got the chance to work in a tiny team of creative minds, who put together the digital stage set for Artists like DJ Bobo (Kaleidoluna Tour), Andrea Berg (Mosaik Tour) and Gölä (20th anniversary concert).
As of April 2020, Sam works as a freelancer and has taken on various tasks and challenges for partners and studios like Pixelbar, Framefarm, Neo Motion Studio, WeRobotics and photographer Michael Danner.
